Japan does not have a large Muslim population compared to the rest og\f the world. Here in Nagasaki, I have seen one other sister but being the shy person that I am I didn’t reach out to her. Now Eid is coming up and I still haven’t found any other Muslims. Its lonely. And not to mention that the legal drinking age is 20 (and they don’t card forgieners much here) so most of the people I want to hang out with go drinking, something Muslims people are not supposed to do. And people sometimes have missconceptions about Muslim women and what we’re up for. I feel I might be kept out of the loop sometimes because my peers assume I wouldn’t be up for XYZ. Idk, I just miss my old friends back at Mizzou and I wish I could pray with somebody instead of having to justify my religion to some people who just assume my way of life is oppressive and they’re so enlightend and modern…
Okay, pity party over.
This is how we give Praise to a Witch who is really Nailing an Outfitte.
I have a mighty need to expand the knowledge that this gif is from the ballet Giselle, and these are spirits of women who died from broken hearts called wilis - in the ballet, men who get lost in the forest at night are trapped by the wilis and danced to death for doing wrong to women. It’s all quite badass. (with Myrtha, Queen of the Willis in the middle - she’s one cold hearted bitch and I love her.)
I would like to bring this post back.
